Historic Recognition

Updated: Oct 12

This is breaking news from the Roos-Report! I'm on the ground for incredible and comprehensive field roo-reporting. Full Circle Farm Sanctuary has been announced as the 2025 Outstanding Farmed Animal Sanctuary by the Global Federation of Animal Sanctuaries (GFAS)! The atmosphere is one of pride, celebration, humility, and gratitude. What a historic day for all of us here at FCFS. The excitement for what this means for the future is truly something to behold. I will return to the flock and let my tall colleagues tell you more about this incredible honor.

Have a Roo-rrific day and a restful night. This is Bolin, signing off.

Thank you, Bolin, as always, your professionalism and charisma are unmatched.

The Global Federation of Animal Sanctuaries (GFAS) recently announced the recipients of the 2025 Carole Noon and Outstanding Sanctuary Awards. We are honored to share that Full Circle Farm Sanctuary has been named the Outstanding Farmed Animal Sanctuary.

This prestigious international award recognizes excellence in humane and responsible animal care, professionalism and ethics, organizational sustainability, public engagement, and leadership within the sanctuary field. It is voted on by the GFAS Award Committee co-chairs, the GFAS Board of Directors, and past Outstanding Sanctuary recipients—making this a true recognition from our peers.

Remarkably, FCFS is the first sanctuary ever to achieve both GFAS accreditation and the Outstanding Award in the same year—within just four months. This milestone reflects years of dedication and hard work, not only from the current team and board but from everyone who has contributed to FCFS over the years, especially the sanctuary's supporters and volunteers.

Thank you for your support!
Thank you for your support!

This historic award is a testament to our team’s dedication, resilience, creativity, and integrity. But this moment is more than an award —it’s possibility. It’s opportunity. It’s the expansion of compassion, visibility, and hope for farmed animals.

Since becoming completely publicly funded and making the bold decision in 2021 to move forward without paid administrative staff, FCFS has been on an incredible upward path. That choice reshaped our structure, strengthened our resolve, and expanded our capacity for meaningful, lasting impact. It hasn’t been easy, but it’s been transformative — for the residents, for farmed animals, and for FCFS’ full potential.

We are small in numbers, our budget is limited, but our determination and impact reach far beyond the sanctuary fences. Through storytelling, rescue, education, and advocacy, we help open hearts and minds to the truth — that farmed animals are individuals who deserve compassion, freedom, and respect.

This is what your support makes possible. Thank you!

To every volunteer, supporter, and believer — this award acknowledges you. Thank you!

We said it was our 15th year, that we were celebrating something extraordinary in 2025 — and we’ve consistently delivered. And though the year is winding down, one thing remains true: we’re just getting started. This isn’t the finish line. It’s the beginning.

You are invited to join us for two special upcoming events:

🌐 Virtual Award Ceremony – Fri, Oct 24, at 1:00 PM EST. Hosted by GFAS, this event will feature all award recipients. The public is welcome to attend.

🐮 Volunteer Appreciation Day – Sat, Oct 25, 11 AM - 3 PM During our monthly Group Volunteer and Vegan Potluck Day, we’ll be celebrating and recognizing the incredible FCFS volunteers, who play a vital role in the success and achievement of this award.

Thank you again for being part of the journey that led us here. We hope you’ll join us in celebrating this well-deserved moment of pride. 💛
