Full Circle Farm Sanctuary's Safety & Mobility Initiative began in 2025, when the sanctuary identified significant gaps in the equipment and transportation systems needed to safely reach, assist, move, and transport residents across the property and during veterinary emergencies.
As residents aged and mobility needs became increasingly complex, strengthening this infrastructure became a critical priority.
In 2026, extraordinary philanthropic support fully funded the initiative, making this significant investment in resident care and emergency preparedness possible.

WHY THIS INVESTMENT WAS NEEDED
When Minutes—and Mobility—Matter
Providing lifelong sanctuary to residents across 13 species and 55 acres requires more than compassionate care. It requires the ability to reach residents quickly, move safely across the property, transport residents for veterinary care, and respond when a large resident cannot move independently.
For years, FCFS had been doing that work without the equipment capacity the sanctuary needed.
That limitation became increasingly significant as the resident population aged. Senior animals may experience arthritis, chronic medical conditions, sudden mobility changes, or emergencies that make movement difficult or impossible. When the resident in need is a cow weighing more than 2,000 pounds or a pig weighing several hundred pounds, staff cannot simply lift or carry them to safety.
The Safety & Mobility Initiative was created to close those gaps and build the infrastructure necessary to respond more safely, quickly, and effectively.
WHAT THE INVESTMENT MADE POSSIBLE
A Fleet Built as a System
The Safety & Mobility Initiative was not about replacing older equipment with newer or more convenient options. FCFS had been operating without the equipment capacity needed to safely and efficiently meet the demands of resident care across 55 acres.
Each addition to the fleet was selected intentionally to address a different operational need—from reaching remote areas and moving equipment to assisting large residents and providing safer transportation for veterinary care.
Each vehicle and piece of equipment has a defined role. The fleet was designed to close specific gaps in safety, mobility, emergency response, and resident transport—not to duplicate existing resources.
No single vehicle could solve all of those challenges. Together, they create an integrated safety and mobility system designed around the residents and the realities of lifelong sanctuary care.

Kubota Tractor MX5400HST
Provides the lifting, towing, and heavy-work capacity needed for large-resident emergencies and sanctuary infrastructure. When a resident's size exceeds what staff can safely manage manually, the Kubota gives FCFS critical capability that did not previously exist.
Polaris Sportsman 570 ATV
Provides quick, nimble access to pastures and areas where larger vehicles may be impractical. Its towing capacity also allows it to pull the large-mammal glide when appropriate, expanding FCFS's ability to reach and move residents during an emergency.
Polaris Ranger XD 1500 UTV
Combines all-terrain access with the capacity to carry staff, medical supplies, and equipment directly to residents. Its towing capacity also allows it to pull the large-mammal glide when a goat, pig, donkey, or other appropriately sized resident cannot safely walk.
Ram ProMaster
Dedicated exclusively to resident transport, the ProMaster's lower entry height reduces the height and incline residents must navigate when entering and exiting—making veterinary transport safer and more accessible, particularly for seniors and residents with mobility challenges.
MORE THAN EQUIPMENT
Investment Requires Stewardship
Acquiring the equipment was only part of the work. FCFS also developed a comprehensive Vehicle & Equipment Stewardship System establishing standards for authorized use, safety, maintenance, accountability, and care of the fleet.
The system includes additional protections for specialized resources, including the ProMaster's exclusive use for resident transport.
These resources represent a significant philanthropic investment in resident care. Responsible stewardship helps ensure they remain safe, reliable, and ready when residents need them—for years to come.

Reach residents across the sanctuary during emergencies
Transport residents for veterinary care in a vehicle dedicated to their needs
Safely assist residents experiencing mobility challenges
Move medical supplies, personnel, and equipment directly to residents
Respond more effectively when a large resident cannot move independently
Reduce reliance on improvised solutions during critical situations
Maintain the fencing, pastures, shelters, and infrastructure necessary for daily care
Prepare for the increasingly complex needs that come with providing lifelong sanctuary
The goal was never simply to acquire new equipment. It was to build a safer, more prepared sanctuary.
