Social Media Internship

Focus of Internship:
The Social Media Intern will work together with Outreach and Education Coordinator to create compelling media about the residents of FCFS. They will assist with photography, videography, and copy writing related to the residents & their stories. Interns will assist in the operation of FCFS' social media platforms, including livestreams and follower engagement on FCFS' social media.

- Assist in the operation of FCFS' social media platforms, including livestreams and follower engagement on FCFS' social media.
- Additional tasks may include interacting with volunteers and visitors, assisting with merchandise orders and other administrative tasks.
- Interns may be asked to lead a project that would improve our educational complement of our mission.
Requirements and Eligibly:
- Comfortable around large species & birds or willingness to become comfortable!
- Familiar with basic social media platforms: Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Twitter
- Interns must be 18 years of age
- Ability to commit to 40 hours weekly for 6-8 weeks
- Be on time and stay for the entire shift
- Treat all animals with care and respect
- Follow directions and accept feedback
- Ability to work independently
- Adhere to policies and protocols
Objectives / Learning Opportunities:
- Knowledge of Full Circle Farm Sanctuary’s Mission
- Increased knowledge of the reality of the animal agricultural instruct and the impacts to animals, the environment and health.
Training:
- On the job and hands on training will be provided
- Interns will learn and be expected to adhere to all Full Circle policies and procedures
- Interns will complete orientation tasks including learning about Full Circle history, programs and animal agriculture impacts
Additional Information:
- This is an unpaid position
- Onsite housing is available for Interns committing to 32-40 hours a week
- Onsite housing is available in the main lodge. This is a shared space with up to two interns at a time with individual rooms and a shared bathroom. A full shared kitchen is available including pots, pans, dishware etc. The main lodge is also used for day to day sanctuary business including volunteer training
- Intern is responsible for their own food
- Out of respect for the residents, no animal products are permitted onsite.
- Full Circle is a non-smoking facility
